ColChess 7.0 doesn't want to play in the Dinosaur League

Hello !

I've been trying to make ColChess 7.0, engine from the year 2000, play in my tournaments and I can't find a way to make it run on my settings.

It plays ok in console mode, but I can't find no way to use it under Arena 1.1 (I'm not sure if it's a gui-related problem or not, but I think all other engines do run, sometimes needing a wb2uci workaroud)

Am I forgetting something obvious ? I've tried with .ini files, books, etc.
If asked, I can post a wb2uci log or an arena log.

Otherwise, as it is open source, would someone (why do I want to say Jim the Magician ? ) have a look at it ?

Hello again !

I've forgotten to say that ColChess 8.0 works juste fine.

I wanted a 2000 engine, but as the author said it's the same strength as 7.0 in the history notes of his old website, I guess I might make a little exception.

Looking through the arena debug file, 7.0 doesn't react after the xboard command, but 8.0 does. Why, I don't know, they both behave the same way in console mode ...

But well, unless someone has a bright idea, I'll leave it at that ...

The Linux version of the 7.0 src code compiles and runs correctly.
I compiled a Windows gcc-cygwin compile for you
