Thanks for your concern and interest Charles! - I hope at some stage to relaunch the webpage with a different provider. I haven't rushed to replace it as I guessed all who wanted Numpty would have downloaded it before I took it down.

In the meantime thanks to Jim as ever, for helping me out so promptly (and getting me off Ron's 'naughty' list!), even more impressive as Numpty isn't an engine Jim works on. Thanks!

Since I'm here .... I have done a little work on the engine recently, and made some improvements - (don't worry, still nowhere near 1800, never mind 2800+! :) )

One great thing though - I've managed to fix the longstanding problem with excessive virtual memory use (see Guenther's post earlier in this thread... and yes this was a case of gross programmer incompetence!). I know this caused problems and frustration for people with older pcs, so if anyone with older kit still wants to run Numpty drop me a note and I can send a fixed version of the current release.

You should relaunch a new webpage as soon as possible! Down/disabled websites give the impression that the programmer has lost interest.

I am trying to lose interest!! - but it is difficult to leave this hobby, the final version was supposed to be 3 releases ago!

From previous experience, you will know of any changes to the website before I do! :)
