Is bchessmaster a vietnamese chess program? It destroyed cyclone 6.2 easily. I'm just wondering if anyone has more info because I can't seem to find anything in english or chinese on it. Thanks!

I have never heard of it.

I am not sure what exactly you mean by 'destroyed Cyclone easily'. Does that mean it won 49-1 or something like that?

Note that there float around many illegal copies of Cyclone versions, often renamed by their cloners (and often packed with viruses!).

I don't know how to set it up, but there doesn't seem to be any kind of virus. It beat cyclone in blitz games if that means anything. I think you're right in this being a cloned copy of cyclone, because it's very unlikely you've never heard of it.

I don't know much about this engine but I was able to get it run under Winboard with the help of Inbetween. It does beat Cyclone in bliz game 3 Min Plus 3 Sec. This engine answer to "uci" command but use "position fen". Maybe a hybrid of bug + cyclone.

Copy engine, Inbetween.exe, and Inbetween.ini to a folder c:\test
under Winboard load this engine as an ucci engine.
"Inbetween.exe" -fd "C:\test" -fUCCI
