Winboard Tournament Time Control

Postby Richard Allbert » 16 Jan 2013, 08:39

Hi

Just a quickie... when I open the WB tournament and match options dialog, when I press the "Time Control..." button, I get the Error message: "Changing time control during a game is not implemented"

It would be nice to be able to edit it from here :) .. or am I missing something?

Thanks

Richard

I guess it depends on what you have been doing before. Somehow WinBoard must think a game is already in progress. The same would then happen when you use Options->Time Control directly from the menu. The remedy is to press New Game, and try again. Part of the problem is that WinBoard cannot know you will end the Tournament dialog with 'OK'. When you leave it through 'Cancel' it should not have disturbed what was going on when you opened it. So invoking the Time Control dialog from the Tournament Dialog cannot be different than when you access it directly from the menu.
