Hi all,
after many years I'm working again on my engine.
I have released CyberPagno 2.2 for Win32 and Win64.

It's not necessary anymore the -xboard option, you can change the hash size from .cfg file, the analyze mode is now supported.
This version is about +180 elo stronger than CyberPagno 2.1 (from my tests).

It would be nice if you also supported the 'memory' command, so that it works when people set the hash size from the GUI, and would not have to edit a .cfg file. Editing config files is something of 10 years ago, but not of this time anymore...

PS. Thanks for the hint about Elo. I have already selected a pool of opponents for a gauntlet using my usual method, starting right above the previous version. Now I am going to make a new selection, looking at higher parts of the ranking list.

You are right, it is in my TODO list.
However the configuration file is useful for my tests from command line without using the WB protocol.

OK, great! I was just pointing it out because people who return to Chess programming after a long time might not realize all the new features WB protocol offers nowadays.

There is nothing wrong with using .cfg files to specify the defaults of option settings. As long as the engine is responsive to GUI commands to change them later. By putting the defaults in an external text file rather than hardcoding them, the parameters can even be changed on GUIs that have only a flaky implementation of the protocol, or when using no GUI at all.
