Linux binary of Roce 0.0345

Postby Roman Hartmann » 27 Mar 2006, 23:33

Hi all,
finally I found some time to port Roce to Linux. It seems to work but as I have access to only 1 computer with SuSE Linux 9.1 installed, I would appreciate if others could confirm that it actually works on Linux.

If you test Roce with Xboard you will have to use Polyglot as well as Roce is UCI-only so far. I tested Roce only with Xboard/Polyglot on my computer here as I don't have any other GUI for Linux. Would be great if someone would test it under other GUI's as well.

If Polyglot is used the option 'Syncstop = true' has to be set in the polyglot.ini file or Roce will hang after a ponderhit (the other option is to disable pondering).
