I will probably continue doing some work on the engine, but it won't be much. If I stumble upon some great new improvement, I may publish a new version. I am making some changes in my life, probably starting a family soon, so there will be no time for chess.
That's an acceptable excuse. Congratulations.
I may switch to a brand new field of medicine and open a computer chess addiction clinic
What a great business idea! I wonder why nobody has thought of it before.
Tord, I will see you in Mainz.
Cool!
Looks like it will be even more fun than last year.
You may become my first patient, but I don't think these guys wish that you get cured
Until you have demonstrated your ability to quit yourself, I'm not sure I trust your ability to help others.
I have some hope that I will manage to quit (or at least take a break from) computer chess without any help from others this autumn. My computer chess addiction started when I left my old Lisp job and returned to the university to do pure mathematics (basically a pen, paper, chalk and blackboard job, without any heavy use of computers). This autumn I am going back to another (more interesting and much better paid) Lisp job, and I don't think I will have much desire to spend more time in front of a computer when I get home from work in the evenings.
