LOOP + LIST now ready for Winboard !

Postby Gerhard Sonnabend » 02 Oct 2006, 16:18

Hi to all !

After tests from Günther Simon (with ponder=off)
and Olivier Deville (with ponder=on) we are glad
to tell all the winboard-users, that LOOP and LIST
are working very fine with WB+Polyglot. This is
valid since the version "LOOP-MP 12.32A" which will
be released tomorrow.

A very special "Thank You" to both, Günther and
Olivier from the autor Fritz Reul and from me !

Hope you will enjoy LOOP and LIST running under
Winboard+Polyglot.

Best to you !

Gerhard,

Would you mind explaining what you mean by your statement?

Does the Loop/List team want to be in wbec? Have you asked Leo to enter?

In any event, I think a lot of us cc fans will be very disappointed if Loop/List is NOT in wbec for the next edition which starts this month.

No, i dont ask him. But of course he can use LOOP for his
wbec tournament if he want. Usually the organizer of a
tournament ask the autor for the engine to take part in.

Best to you !

After finishing my tests with the program you kindly send me I can confirm that. It also runs fine under wine/Linux here too.

Under bullet time controls some games have been lost on time (what happens with other engines too). One loss let me detect a bug in another engine which didn't recognise a legal move.

After replaying the lost-on-time games under my usual conditions Loop came out on 3 (same points as 2) in my Nunn ratinglist.
