Slightly OT: The search of the old forum still exists!

Postby Volker Pittlik » 21 Oct 2006, 11:53

By testing some alternatives to google I found that the search of the old forum still exists! And it is even working!
Look here: http://s11.parsimony.net/cgi-bin/suche.cgi?Nummer=16635&Phase=Formular

In case you need an old result posting please let me know. I have an archive somewhere. I guess that the whole forum still exists. How should the search work otherwise?

Regards

Hi Volker,

I guess it's only the search index that still exists. When following the link above and entering some keywords (e.g. "Rybka"), all search results which I tried to follow were pointing to a "not found" page instead of the article itself.

Maybe the search index has not been cleared?

Hi Sven,

i think the keyword "Rybka" is just a bad example, because the well known Rybka of today wasn't born there in public and the old rybka was just 2000 ELO. Good old times :D

Best,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

doesn't matter which keyword I type, I could also have searched for "q". I think Volker's note as well as my reply were more on the technical level.

Or did you intend to say that only the articles about the old ELO 2000 Rybka were deleted?
