Postby Daniel Shawul » 14 Nov 2006, 11:27

I can't access http://www.geocities.com from here. I see all my files are there , and i can also upload new files but can't get to download anything. Both IE and firefox don't seem to work.

Daniel,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I could download at your old html download page. The only difference was, I can't see your index page directory (of entire files which includes scorpio) as I've usually done using this link: http://www.geocities.com/dshawul/
The only engines I can see there are your goold old Danchess versions.

I think a wise inquiry on geocities.yahoo.com will do the trick. Yahoo has updated lately, so it may possibly caused a problem on your side. I wish you the best luck amigo.

hello Daniel

i also have a little webside on yahoo for testing (its the same content as my other side)

http://de.geocities.com/enginefriend/

actually upload is working, but its yahoo-de not -com
after upload i had to wait about 5 minutes than i could see the uploaded files

but same files are not accepted cause not allowed ending
- upload files dat (ratinglist), pgn and rar does not work,
but zip-files are acepted

the webside is online so you can test
will delete it later cause my sides at freenet (only up to 1,5 mb maximal for file)

or arcor

http://home.arcor.de/hirdelgird/
(no max for file-size and totally 50 mb)

works better

Hello Gerhard, Juan
I have tried in many places but any geocities pages can not be opened from here. http://www.geocites.com/xxxx can not be opened but i can open my own page from http://geocities.yahoo.com and upload files.
It seems this is a problem only in my country so i will ask the ISP and see what i get.

Gerhard,as i have expected your website http://de.geocities.com/enginefriend/ does not work from here.

regards,
Daniel

hello Daniel

have checked my yahoo webside also today - it works.
but now there are 3 little ads from yahoo at left side which cause a very bad layout of the webside, - so i dont like it and will delete this side

when you have problems with your webside at your country and you want to change cause of this to a good costfree webside (http://home.arcor.de/xxxxx/) in germany I can help you if you want.

in this case please contact via email

Daniel,

If you still want to create a back-up site try http://www.mylivepage.com
It gives FREE 1 GB webspace and quite easy to upload files. If you know already, Macrc Lacrosse also resides here at chessbazaar.mylivepage,com. Just an advice amigo.
