Glaurung 2-epsilon/2 and opening book

Postby Olivier Deville » 21 May 2007, 06:58

Hi all

Here the development version of Glaurung (windews executables) don't use the opening book.

I have tried both x32 and x64 compiles, under winboard (+ polyglot) and Arena 1.1

The new Glaurung cannot use the old book.bin file; ut uses PolyGlot book files. It does not ship with a book of its own, but you should be able to use any PolyGlot book by simply renaming it to "book.bin" and placing it in the same directory as the Glaurung executable.

Hello Olivier,

Try the above and tell me if it works.

Later.

Hello Roger

Many thanks for the information :)

I always prefer when the author provides a book of his own. We'll do as Tord wishes and use a Polyglot book (a general book of mine), or a bookthinker book.
