WB/UCI chronology pages updated and reworked

Postby Guenther Simon » 11 Aug 2007, 12:35

I have updated my WB/UCI(free programs) chronology pages.
Now there are two new columns 'RWBC ratings' and more important
a 'Web' column(gives a link to the programs homepage or alternative
download possibility e.g. Leos' WBEC or Jims' downloads).
The rating column can be sorted by clicking at the header.
(For readability I removed the column 'Next/current RWBC class' to play,
it would have been obsolete anyway soon...)
I tried to find the newest available links, if you find some unavailable
not working ones, please report it to me.
As there are more and more unavailable ones at all I decided to
offer a lot of them at my own download page(minus those I was
sure the authors dislike the offer or publically announced their retreat
of downloads).
If there still should be a legal problem with one of the offered ones,
please notify me too and I will remove the item in question at once.

Here is a list of programs available there:

Hello Guenther,

Thanks immensely for this huge service to the computerchess community.

I am going to grab some of these engines right now!

Some of them are missing from my collection...which I thought was extensive.

Are they all packed with their usage (commands etc.) documentation? Of course there is nothing wrong with a little experimentation on a Saturday evening.

Thanks for the quality books as well.

Later.

Ps. Check your PM folder.

Hello Guenther,

Last week I reactivated Asterisk webpage. ( http://www.geocities.com/asterisk_chess/index.htm )
The last Asterisk version is downloadable from the website. I should like to inform you and the community that the new version will be published next week after the 5th Hungarian Computer Chess Championships.

Thank you for the possibility of access of Asterisk v0.4b on your website.

Best regards,
Péter
