There is a new version of Goyaz and it is already winning games from others engines!!!
It won against Geko 0.4.3, Xadreco 5.7 and Testina 2.2.
It also got even against Gedeone 1620 and Youk 1.05.
The changes were basically two:
- Don't reexamine the entire board to calculate the new value for the position, just erase the "from square", the "captured piece" and add the "to square". This is possible because I just have piece-square tables, nothing more. It did a nice 100% speed-up;
- Move ordering. It cuts 95% of the nodes that weren't cut in the previous version.
I didn't estimate it's new rating yet.
