New winboard adapter. Engines talk now.

Postby Alex Guerrero » 18 Sep 2007, 00:54

Hi.
I did an adapter for winboard engines in Delphi.

This provides 3 things:

-Openings book to engines.
-Winboard engines talks with it. (Little dialogs by now).
-Announce of moves is possible. (This was necessary in Winboard).

Besides it must function in any GUI with protocol Winboard.

if you wish test it here is available:

Details:
-Tested only with WindowsXP 32 bits.
-Crafty and Ruffian announce moves bad by now.
-I include an old version of Crafty adapted as example, this functions well.

Best to you.

Hi Alex,

Nice work.

The program make comments while it is also announcing the moves, mix the 2 sounds.

In spanish, when the program make a capture, it says, “toma” or “toga” ? :D

Your projects are interesting, I wait for winboard_x in spanish. Also I have curiosity to know that is "winboard easy".
Best wishes,
