Hi Jim,

it´s really a pity that you seem to do all your compilations with SSE instructions (although having almost no advantage for chess) - so all your EXEs don´t run here on my old notebook with a Celeron-CPU! :(

Franz.

Hello Franz,

I'm a bit on cloudy skies with the new Crafty. I'll just try building the right compile for your hardware. I hope it works as this code is very sensitive to command switches. I tried some PentiumI and II builds. Here it is:

Windows 32-bit with "pogo" on ICC 10

Tell me if it doesn't work Franz.

Denis

Hi Franz,

Sorry about that. I compile with a P3 as a minimum, but I promise
I'll include a universal build as well from now on. And just to get started >

Crafty 22.0 win32 universal build

Incidentally, this build still includes SSE/SSE2 instructions, but will
detect what processor you are using and step down to that processor's
instruction set.

If you would like a universal build for anything else, let me know.

best regards,
Jim.

Many thanks Denis & Jim,

all of those builds are now working on my old CPU (and there´s almost no speed difference between them).

So I don´t have to throw my old notebook into the trashcan, at least not immediately! :)

Thanks for this excellent service,
Franz.
