winboard on a floppy

winboard on a floppy

hi all,
i'm using the library for my internet connection.
there's not much you can doe with these machines.
a while back some one modified winboard to run off
a 3.5 floppy.
does anyone remember the link?

Hi Mike,

I'd thought I'd created my own. I used files from the Winboard portable download.
I Upx'ed the lot (compressed them), and stripped out everything but the bare essentials.
I had a little room to spare after that, so I added Micromax chess engine and Engman, the
engine setup program. It all fits & runs from a single floppy disk.

hi jim,
for use in the library i had to deleat your program and engine
manager to include timeseal.i saved the origanal on my home computer.
i'm at the library right now and have winboard up and running on fics.
