A bug of Petir 2.0

Postby Igor Gorelikov » 08 Dec 2004, 11:41

There were three suicidal moves in a row by Petir 2.0 in the following game.
11. Nxe5??
12. Qg4??
13. Bd3??

[Event "New IL-7, Final Qualifier"]
[Site "P3 1GHz 256MB"]
[Date "2004.12.05"]
[Round "4.2"]
[White "Petir 2.0"]
[Black "Bruja 1.8"]
[Result "0-1"]
[TimeControl "1200+3"]
[PairNo ""]

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. O-O Be7 6. Re1 b5 7. Bb3 d6 8.
c3 O-O 9. h3 Na5 10. Bc2 c5 11. Nxe5 dxe5 12. Qg4 Bxg4 13. Bd3 Qxd3
{white resigns} 0-1

It occurs only once in 24 games played by Petir. So it is not a regular bug.

Igor
