Hello Everyone,

Harry put alot of work into this....

And so did Martin, of whom I hear so far no mention, into the creation of Arena 1.1.

Those who contribute always have our respect.

Thank you Harry, and thank you Martin.

I know that you are now punch drunk with all the "newness" and good Christmas spirit that seems to be going around......

In light of that......we think it is time for something new again.....

Yes new......not old or contrived......new......

You should experiment sometime.......

And here it is......

http://www.playwitharena.co.uk/modules. ... tit&lid=10

Go now....... download........

Mainbook 3.1 Experimental.

The instructions are above the download.

Please read the instructions as this book I am advised by Harry has a very specific usage.

Hi Chris

Many thanks for this new Arena release. I'm downloading it now.

I do have one question though. Previously i've always avoided the Arena setup files, and instead downloaded the zip files and simply replaced the updated files. I have done this because of a fear of losing my current Arena settings. Is there an option in this setup file that allows keeping the current Arena settings?

Again, Many thanks
Dave

Hello David,

I answer in haste but I believe that if you use the zip and overwrite that should retain your settings.

King Regards

According to this post http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?401414 at the CCC forum, Frank says that from now on you can backup all your settings !

But until I would recommend installing the 1.1 through the zip files :)

After that you just have to back up your settings and deploy them to another computer ...
