Need beta testers for new Movei

Postby Uri Blass » 27 Apr 2005, 08:12

I have a new version of Movei and I am not sure if it is better than previous version so I need beta testers(Inspite of it I sent it to Leo today for WBEC)

My testing was very limited(only 58 games when 50 of them are 5+1 time control and 8 of them are 1+1 time control) so I can be sure of nothing
inspite of encouraging results

I also did not test it against latest tested version but against later version and it is possible that the later version has bugs

I believe that the changes that I did are productive but the only way to know is by testing against different programs and I have no computer time for it.

I hope that testers can help me to test it to tell me if it is significantly better than previous version and if there is a justification for a new release of Movei(I will release it only if it is at least 50 elo better than the public version and I am even not sure if it is not worse)

Hi Uri,
I can add your beta to my running Infinite Loop if you will send it to me.

I already sent it by my gamil account

I am also interested in changing personalities.

I will not be surprised if it is possible to gain rating by changing the parameters of the path dependent evaluation and if people are interested they can also test it.

I am not sure if the numbers that I have(progress 3 10 20) are optimal and I even cannot be 100% sure that they help.

I am sure that they helped when I tried them but I did not try changing them for some years and Movei got more than 300 elo from that time.

Hi Uri

I can test it if you want. I would use my Pentium IV 3.2ghz 1024mg Windows XP, Arena GUI Ponder Off and time control of 5+1.

If you are interested, please send me an email here: sergio_martinezg@yahoo.es
