FreyR big problems, please HELP !?!!

Hello,
I have a lot of problems with my detail page for FreyR (
OK !
01) Analyze mode, works fine !
02) Move Now, works fine !
03) Edit mode, crash
But this is not my problem !
I try 2 versions:
01) Programmer version: 188.416 bytes
02) Corbit tweaked version: 192.512 bytes
When I start FreyR as the first engine, crash
When I start FreyR as the second engine, I have an other problem
FreyR play 21 moves, then a time problem !
Example: Game in 3 minutes
For the first 21 moves 1 minute
For move 22 1 minute 55 seconds
And FreyR has 5 seconds for the last 18 moves !
I play 40 moves in 3 minutes !
OK ...
I try it with 40 moves in 5 minutes and 40 moves in 10 minutes !
The same problems !
Now I try other parameter in the WinBoard.ini
For my first test:

Hi,
-hashsize 20 = ~34 MB for hash !
Hash works fine and ponder works fine !

I play with the opening book the first move 1.f3 ... (FreyR is out of book)
I wait and wait and wait, drink a coffee, look a crime story in the TV and FreyR play the move (40 moves in 40 minutes. FreyR play the first move in 39 minutes. Good, I try it with 40 moves in 1 minute. The first black move come
0:55 minutes. 3 moves later FreyR lose on time and I won my first game against FreyR )
Hm ...

I wait and wait and wait, ah 0:45 second for the first move (40 moves in 1 minute, not 40 moves in 40 minutes, I have not to many time) )
The next game ...
FreyR play 2 opening moves and then I must wait 0:25 seconds for the first move.
Now I try it with all my WinBoard.ini`s Corbit`s all what I have
The same results.
My system: AMD K6-3 450 MHz, 128 MB Ram, Windows 98-2, RexChess 2.3 of my hard disk ...
I must say the program have a lot of very good options and a lot of WinBoard commands. This is fantastic !
I wish me, that the programmer can solve the problems !
In the Winboard debug code stand not a important message for a problem tip !
In my WinBoard debug stand ...
Frank will play chess and have not luck !!!
Frank try it tomorrow or play with RexChess 2.3 or going in the bed !

I have only been using Freyr for EPD processing, but it looked like it might be a timer problem. I wrote a new higher resolution timer for Freyr. Maybe it will help.
I am not any kind of expert at getting Winboard operational, but I will try myself also.

could you give me the exact steps after starting winboard which makes it crash with edit mode ? didn't happen to me so far
try it from the command line with winboard /fcp="freyr\freyr.exe -hashsize 20 ... etc" or /scp="..."

It should play the first move in remaining_time / 40.
It does so here.
could you send me by email your winboard.ini file ?
Maybe on your CPU the timing function I use in Freyr is acting wrong or Freyr is fed some timing options is misinterprets, did anyone else of you kind sould out there who tested my chess program found this outrageous behaviour ? Or any other problem I should know about ?
You could try making a separate winboard directory for tests, copy freyr.exe and my opening book there (not in a separate directory) and start tests from there.
Or start winboard with such controls : /tc:15 /inc:0 or /tc:5 /inc:0
The name of one the files from my opening book is the same as a book file from Crafty (book.bin) I hope this is not a nameclash problem (freyr trying to load the book from crafty which is in a different format and chokes on it)

I think that Freyr is very very interesting. All "WinBoard options", good other parameter and options. Good readme files, a nice program ...

i just use the winboard startup dialoge box.eg.[c:/freyr/freyr.exe].
works fine for me.regards,mike
