Just ran a successful game with ponder off...
It's a high speed blitz game {G/180 seconds}, so I don't put much stock in it, but G2 had some clever moves that I enjoyed anyway.

A second teaser. I place Gully2 in the upper half of the playing programs as a guess.

God'll get you Dann. Does it seem like he'll let you release Gullydeckel?
I would have figured it would beat Ant after it took out Amy. Amy seemed like it was trying to get a draw for several moves, she must have seen zero scores in the searches.

I think at some point he will. But I have no guarantees. I think it has lay fallow for quite a while and he mentioned that he would like to polish the evaluation function before release. One thing for sure, it is a fast searcher for some positions.
There were also losses to SOS, Comet and Crafty, which I did not report.
;-)
But that would not have drawn the foaming saliva I was after.

Oh, that foaming saliva is from rabies. A result of my new theory that if you feed the racoons, you won't have the skunks. So we don't have any skunks this year.

The fact that you need to guess this, probably implies that it isn't that strong i think..

So how many games did you play to manage to get Gully2 to grind out a win over Amy? 1031 games ?? ;)
Well i doubt I will ever beat Amy even once after 1000 games though..Anyway can tell me what the odds of a 1600 player beating say a 2300 player even once in a 1000 games?
