Hi, Dan!
Did you modified Francesca? It is available?
I assume that you will use Francesca in match engine-engine in winboard, Which are the settings you will use?
Thanks in advance

There is a new version (0.80) which will be made available to the general public shortly.
G/60 for calibration and G/90 for tournament, same as all the other engines.

0.80 has been running over the last 24 hours, with no real surprises, so I guess I'll release it now.
I'll email to you, Dann, and to Frank in the next few minutes.
It will also be available from my website (www.btinternet.com/~tom_king), which has incidently been revamped, too.
0.80 is similar to the current public release but with a couple of positional and performance tweaks, and a bigger book. Further, it supports the Winboard incremental clock. Support for the incremental clock is *very* basic, and I can well believe that Francesca 0.80 will play quite a bit weaker with the incremental clock, compared to the standard clock. Unfortunately, I have been very short on testing time, so there is a possibility that 0.80 has a horrible bug hidden away somewhere..
Cheers,
Tom King

If something bad does turn up, I will replace the engine actually used in the tournament as long as it appears before the actual torunament games start.
It may be a couple weeks yet, as I insist that ELO figures must be less than +/-100 ELO in accuracy for the test population.
The old calibration data will still be used to compute the starting position, however. On the other hand, unless the program is right on the edge, it will take a huge ELO change to bump your program into a different division.

Ok, Dann, thanks. The update is now available on my website, and is currently being emailed to yourself.
one bug can steal 100's of ELO points from a program ;-)
fingers crossed, though.
