Announcement : Release of Pharaon v3

I am pleased to inform you that Pharaon v3.1 has been released
(Winboard and UCI compatible)

It is available on my site ( http://www.fzibi.com/pharaon.htm ).
(Direct download: http://www.fzibi.com/pharaon/pharaon.zip , 1.5 MBytes)

I expect it to be around 60 elo point stronger then v2.62 .

Are there any changes in the final release compared to Pharaon 3.00beta?
I only ask because then it will get an independent rating calculation in AEGT and Nunn tournaments in the future.

Hello Heinz,

there is very little change between Pharaon v3.0 (beta) and
the official version (3.1) that played in the french championship.

I believe that there is no need now to use the beta version.

Hello Franck ,

okay, even with little changes we have to keep to our rule to finish with the very same version in AEGT 2. In AEGT 3 of course the newest version from each program will play.

I saw a lot of French programmers are releasing new versions now. This will make our tournaments even better and more interesting.

I wish you a lot of success with Pharaon and although you modestly claim a 60 ELO points increase, most testers are getting more so far.
