I'm a bit curious too. I remember great moments when I discovered things that would give 20% speed improvement, but 8x is huge.

It is not but I guess that it is possible that there is some code in his program that is done only in debug mode.
It may be a good idea to do it to verify that some errors do not happen but I was too lazy.

It is not but I guess that it is possible that there is some code in his program that is done only in debug mode.
It may be a good idea to do it to verify that some errors do not happen but I was too lazy.

I now checked it and
6.31/2.47 is the estimate for speed improvement.
It needs 6.31 seconds in debug mode to do the same thing that it needs 2.47 seconds in release mode
