Fruit is doing so badly that the qualification is not even a sure thing :)
Only one place left for a new engine !
New engines start in F right?
In that case, starting in E is for late entries?
Do I misunderstand?
Fabien.

Yes new engines start in F... but some engines were not ready yet when the F tournament started, and this month we got several new engines. So I decided to give 10 slots for new engines, and 9 of them are gone already ! Look in the list for engines with provisional (*) rating (most are still private). I also gave a slot to Holmes : Holmes was replaced in the former edition by BlackBishop, but I now consider Holmes and BB as two different engines.
I'm sure Fruit will qualify... Thanks for your interest anyway
Olivier

Hi Olivier,
instead of Holmes 0.8.29e, you can use BlackBishop 0.9.7i, which is about 45 ELO stronger.
best wishes
Andreas

You get my point, I presume. Engines that start in E directly don't have to compete in F first (and the level is far from beeing low). In other words, they take the places of engines that missed the first places in F.
How do you decide which may enter E directly?
Fabien.

Andreas, I chose to give a slot for each engine (Holmes and BlackBishop).

You are rignt of course. But engines which enter the E tournament directly were not available yet when the F tournament started... and they are not taking the place of other engines : I gave 10 more slots in E tournament (70 engines were announced, and there will be 80).

I see. I am not criticising in any way, just trying to understand your rules. I call what you do "late entries". It's always tough to make those decisions.
