WB.ini:
"Bookthinker+Shredder-704 polyglot /fd=d:\schach\polyglot-shredder-704 /firstProtocolVersion=1
"Bookthinker+Shredder-704" is a renamed Bookthinker.
polyglot.ini:

Further to what Volker posted, should you find Shredder sticking in memory you may have to resort to using Shredder without a book.
Polyglot has a switch that sends a hard quit to the engine once Winboard indicates an end to the game being played. Get the latest one on Leo's site. Dann should have it as well. Please post if you need an executable that accepts the autoquit command. Below is my polyglot ini.

Just a word of advice.

Shredder.ini complete is:

The last two options, when activated by 1 and false respectively, function as work arounds for bugs in engines. I may drop them in the future. Therefore I suggest you only use them when required by the engine (which is not the case here). I wrote the readme.txt in a hurry, and did not make the distinction between true options and work arounds clear.
The same is true for AutoQuit but you needed it this time.
