You got me Andrew First I would have bet this must be a virus
of perhaps the Pharaon cloner, because:
1) it's called UCI and WB (like Pharao/Rashess)
2) no name in the posting
3) no name at all at the download site
4) download as exe not zipped
...but after scanning all files I found your name with an editor
in the exe - nice riddle - in times of viruses and clones )

Got you all worried then! Yes, I should have zipped the exe but I though virus scanners will scan .exe as well as .zip files.
You will see my name pop up if you run it in a DOS box or use UCI on Arena or Fritz.
It's good to know that people are suspicious of unknown executables.

hello ,
when i run firefly under arena Gui ( as a winboard or UCI engine ) he is using at least 63M of memory ....
Is there a way to use less memory ?

FireFly uses different evaluation functions and search parameters hence I consider them different engines.
I shall leave the strength comparison in hands of the TDs.
Both engines will be maintained and hopfully improved as far as I am able to.
