Nunn G and H are started with the same conditions, only that for Nunn G an Athlon 3000+ is used, but speed difference is not more than 10-12%. Nunn G will give 600 games to each engine, Nunn H 480 games. Additionally there will be games from gauntlets for some. For the moment a gauntlet with Knightx 1.83 is in progress.

I am trying to test more than one version for each engine to see improvements and slowly go further to other interesting newcomers. In the next tournaments will play Alfil, AICE, Firefly, Deuterium, Cecir and some of the "older" ones like Gaviota, WJChess, Olithink, DelphiMax, Bodo, Sharper, Small Potato etc.

Hello Daniel,
no, I did not receive it. Obviously AOL has some problems from time to time and it is not for the first time that I did not get some important emails. Please try my second address:
hvankempen@web.de
Anyway also DanChess 1.0.4d seems to be a good one. As I need engines for gauntlets DanChess 1.0.5b could be used in a long gauntlet to combine engines from all groups for better rating calculation and would this way play against Booot, Averno and some from the new groups.
Best Regards

Heinz,
On your download page for the elite division, there is a bad link for #14.
Btw, I'm making up several opening repetoire books using those downloads and the 20 Nunn2 positions. I will have to do some removing of comments, truncating, etc, to get them to be usable in "Chess Opening Trainer" shareware software. The software is terrific but it appears that it can only use at most 420 games in a file. Maybe it will help me improve my chess opening skills.

Hi Norm,
sounds intersting. Maybe some of those books will be usable for Engines without book?
The link is corrected. Thanks :-).

On second thought, using Nunn games for opening books requires EXACT adherance to the sequence of the first 10-12 moves. That is unlikely to occur in an actual game. What I am now doing is collecting games of the ELO types represented by the 20 Nunn games. In that way I can take in games with slight variations in the first 10-12 moves.
The 20 elo types for Nunn2 in order:
A07, A29, A48, A87
B08, B19, B22, B33, B66
C06, C42, C67, C95
D19, D27, D37, D97
E11, E32, E92
