List of participants in qualifiers for the Stars Only event

Note that the list may be corrected after releasing new versions.
If I miss a strong engine let me know.
To be promoted to the Stars Only event new participants should beat the
reference engine (AnMon 5.30 that is number 4) while new versions should
take upper place than the best old one.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that Fruit is strong (and certainly not
a Star), but ...

In other words I don't know what to expect, there might be some
resistance. I leave it to you whether you think it is worthwhile to let
it play againt AnMon (which I believe is stronger).
Bear in mind that Fruit 1.5 is an incomplete engine (no king safety or
endgame knowledge). If you want only dead-serious confrontation it
might be better to wait for version 2.0 (long time from now though).

I think that at least no endgame knowledge is not correct.
I think that even knowing only to centralize the king in the endgame is some endgame knowledge(there are engines that do not know it).
You also have other specific evaluation for endgames(like different evaluation of pawn structure in middle game and endgame and knowledge of some drawn endgames).
No king safety is also not exactly correct because fruit knows that it is bad to develop the king in the opening by piece square table(I did not look enough at the source to see if it knows that it is bad to push pawns near the king in the opening).
I guess that Fruit2.0 is going to be better than Crafty(Fruit1.5 is already close based on the nunn match result and the difference from crafty is less than 50 elo,2704 for crafty against 2656 for fruit)
