Help needed! The King and Winboard....continued

Hello all,
Are there any users who fit the following categories:
The King is used in Winboard
WBTM is used as TM
Os is XP
Then you can help out a suffering soul by posting your winboard ini segment here.
As an alternative, if you do not use Inbetween, you could post a winboard ini that allows the hash to be set. I can get the King to play but it seems not to be taking on the hash size - it satys stuck at around 12 mb.
I am trying to escape from inbetween as with my setup it seems to be hanging.
Please help me.
Do I sound pitiful enough yet?
Lance's suggestion works for one on one matches. I want to automate a tournament with the King in it.
Later.

[InBetween]
CommandLine :=TheKing.exe
TerminateHard := false
Debug :=0
[Client2Server]
; Set transalation of commands from the client here
; format word := translation
xboard := xboard\ncm_parm tts=67108864\ncm_parm sel=9 md=99\n
reset := xboard\nnew\npost\n
protover :=
draw :=

[Server2Client]
; Set transalation of commands from the server here
; format word := translation
1001 :=1
2001 :=2
2002 :=2
3001 :=3

Hi Roger,
As a winboard engine,The King 3.23 must work with the following command at 128Mb:
tts=131072000 ttu=7
Of course,you can change the value of tts= so it can fit your memory desire!
AFAIK,you want to use 64 Mb of RAM.....so tts=65536

I am not sure but the *TerminateHard* looks not like an Inbetween
command but like a WB2UCI command. Moreover you must have a patched
version if you dont have the 'opk' stuff here.
We need also your WB.ini as I guess you run it with BookThinker?
Best,
Günther
(your hash command is correct for 64MB so it seems it doesnt reach
TheKing at all...better would be debug mode 3 BTW and log on to know
/see what happens)

Moreover you must have a patched

Yes, I do. I have the full CD versions of both 8000 and 9000 complete with boxes, manuals etc. (and 7000 incidentally) but it is far more convenient to use the patched version of 9000 in contests as I do not have to go through the routine of CD + logfile + cut and paste.
This version worked without a hitch in Windows ME. I re-installed Chessmaster and attempted to go through the opk route.
Same problem. Patched it. Same problem. I may need to try Galis as a TM again.
"BookThinker TheKingWB" /fd="D:\Program Files\Engines\TheKingWB" ; /name="The King 3.23d"
This one works because it refers to The KingWB which is Inbetween renamed.
"BookThinker TheKingWB" /fd="D:\Program Files\Engines\TheKingWB" /firstInitString='xboard\npost\nnew\"ncm_parm tts=67108864"\n' /firstProtocolVersion=1 ; /name="The King 3.23x
I thought this one would work without Inbetween by calling on the King executable directly but the hash remains the same (12 Mb)so I guess it does not.
It seems to be Inbetween that is creating the difficulty.
Thanks for your time.

I will try this.
Later.

Ok again, I read your post more carefully again and see that you
'just' have a hanging problem.
I have only two differences in general to your Inbetween file:
I have no 'TerminateHard' and no 'reset' line there.
(BTW Inbetween is really needed bcause the hash command is somehow
not sent via WB ini only)
The only thing I can suggest now is to try it without the mentioned
lines.
Best regards,
Günther

Hi.
I compiled a new version of the adapter and put it up on:
http://home.online.no/~malin/sjakk/down ... een1.7.zip
There could be some issue with the old adapter and Windows XP. I don't recall all but I did some changes to Wb2Uci to get it to run better on XP, and since many of my routines are common this could fix some problems with InBetween.
You should also be able to switch personality with the winboard command Alt+1 and add your prefered command into the InBetween.ini like this:
[Client2Server]
fisher := fisher.txt
With giving the command (alt+1) 'fisher' should load a file called fisher.txt. These *.txt files are the same as used by Wb2Uci so you can get some ready to use frome those who have made these files.
Try with some minimum config file first alá:
[InBetween]
CommandLine :=TheKing.exe
[Client2Server]
xboard := xboard\ncm_parm default\ncm_parm opk=xxxxx
draw :=
(I removed hash size to not confuse if the line broke)
I'm sorry that the adapter at the downloadsite is a bit old, but i never get time to test all my creatures so it is mostly per user updates that dive it forward.

Thank you very much Odd. I will see if I can break it later.

Did I say break? I meant test!
