Hi,
I tried to run Tinker 4.6 c under Winboard.
The engine starts normal, but uses only 32 MB of hash :-(
Here is my Thinker.ini file:
[options]
; hash size, 1 = 1MB, 2 = 2MB, 3 = 4MB, 4 = 8MB, 5 = 16MB, 6 = 32MB, 7 = 64MB, 8 = 128MB
hashsize=7
Here is my line from my winboard.ini:
"Thinker_46c hashsize=7" /fd=c:\progs\wb\Thinker_46c
Thinker uses only 32 MB of hash :-((
Could anyone help, please.

Hi,
I usually never run Thinker 4.6c under Winboard but I just gave it a try and it worked perfectly - including the hashsize command.
Shouldn't your line in winboard.ini start with
"Thinker hashsize=7 ..." ?
since the executable is called Thinker.exe? Unless of course you've renamed it, but I checked that too and it still works for me...
Cheers,
Martin

Here it works with WB alone. (it did not BTW with some older Thinker versions!)
But could it be that you run it perhaps with Joris' WBTM?
In that case at least in version 0.42 of WBTM it had a problem to
read the "=" character and simply omits it in the tourney.ini file.
If you just edit it once and add it manually, it should work.
