With more analysis it does not seem that there is a big difference between 40...Nf5 and 40...Nd7 but 40....Nd7 is a move that only a program that is strong in tactics can make because a program that is weak in tactics will not see the problem with 40...Nf5 in the first place.claiming draw in KB vs K is a simple knowledge that I had even when movei had= is a drawHi Leo,What does this result mean - the game has nothappened yet ?Smash 0.9-rc1 - Borer 2.01.8a =-= 135

no endgame knowledge.
I see that Borer is strong in tactics and I think that 40...Nd7 is not a trivial move to find and I am not sure if movei could find it with P933 that was used for the competition.
Nd7 is not enough to save the game and I think that white blundered by capturing the wrong knight(did not analyze it for a long time so I am not sure).

Thanks for the game Uri.
Yes , there is almost no endgame knowledge in borer - just wrote it for fun over a few weekends
Will have to correct lot of those mistakes sometime soon - when I get some time ...
Mridul
no endgame knowledge.

It has big fail low at depth 13 and later see that both Nf5 and Nd7 are bad
The blunder was probably earlier and 38...Qxh2+ was needed
corrected outputHere is analysis of latest movei on A3000With more analysis it does not seem that there is a big difference between 40...Nf5 and 40...Nd7 but 40....Nd7 is a move that only a program that is strong in tactics can make because a program that is weak in tactics will not see the problem with 40...Nf5 in the first place.claiming draw in KB vs K is a simple knowledge that I had even when movei had= is a drawHi Leo,What does this result mean - the game has nothappened yet ?Smash 0.9-rc1 - Borer 2.01.8a =-= 135
(Cant access your site - some dns resolution problem from my end)
Thanks
Mridul
looking at the game it seems that both sides do not know to claim a draw in KBK position
