My congrats to all promoted ones.
Well, regarding a comment from Anthony yesterday I have to note:
If there is a god, he/she must love him
Zappa made it by a half Buchholz point, although it had
much worse chances to surpass Kaissa.
Actually Djinns loss and Chezzz' draw were very surprising
and costed Kaissa 1.5 Buchholz!
At the bottom ExChess win in the last round and even two wins in a row
by KnightX could not help anymore.

Hey Günther,
Djinn wanted to win, but knew that a loss against KnightX was the only
way it could get revenge against Kaissa for an earlier humiliation.
So setting aside its pride, it made the ultimate sacrifice, helping Zappa
to promote! Of course, this means that next year it may have to face
Kaissa again (gulp?!)
All kidding aside, the tournament was exciting to follow (as always) and
congratulations to all the programs that promoted.

Yes, I have to agree that Zappa promoting was an amazing bit of luck. I was optimistic around round 14-15 or so, when Zappa beat SOS & Resp, but a few losses had made me just about give up. Still I am glad that Zappa was able to fight its way up through the ranks.
Also, did you notice that in the final round white scored an amazing +16-3=2 ?

Gothmog took off like a rocket and promotion never seemed in doubt.
Movei took off like a lead baloon but staged an impressive comeback.
Zappa ran a strong and steady race and then had to negotiate the home stretch strewn with mines.
