I am running Windows ME on an Athlon 850 Mhz. When you startup GES it says GES has created an error in GES and will now close. No log file is created.

Which gui do you use and what are the settings?

Hi David,
I just played the second time an engine-engine-match (GES117 vs. KnightX184) under WinBoard427. My PC is Windows98, Athlon 1800XP 1,53 GHz, 256Mb).
(ponder=off)
I didn't change the ini of GES117.
The hanging occured the second time in game 4 (of 4 games).

I use 40/5. Please, check your e-mail-box. (I don't tell how I got your e-mail-addy...): I sent a winboard.debug-file.
