Can you post the winboard.debug file you get when you start up WinBoard with the extra option -debug in the mode where you are experiencing this, and then immediately quit it?

I included more than you asked for, from start up until an ICS game started to show that it is not being sent before the game starts. I am wanting to conditionally kibitz/whisper.

Never mind. I see it now, the "W>" in front of the feature string is busting me. lost a return+linefeed somewhere

What is that "W> " doing before "feature"?

I inadvertently removed my line return after xboard command. The "W>" is the engine's prompt in console mode (not in xboard mode). My response to protover command was expecting to begin on new line.

Sorry for wasting your time

With -autoKibitz on, echo of your own kibitz is suppressed in the ICS window. (The same info is already in Engine Output window.)

Well, in the screenshot you show it already seems to be off. The checkbox for it (at the very top, in the center) appears unticked.

Must be something wrong then, even the option unticked, it still suppress my kibitz and sometimes my opponent's kibitz in table.

In my personal opinion, it is distracting to see the octal equivalent of the NEWLINE and CARRIAGE RETURN, If you agree Mr. Muller, and of course it will be priority 20, can you make winboard.debug to process this NL and CR more transparently? Unless of course there is a reason for that.

Thanks,
