replay game quircks,also some suggestions

Postby F. Bluemers » 23 Sep 2015, 20:37

I noticed a couple of quircks replaying games in a pgn with 4.8 gtk, linux
The button bar(?) always shows <<,<,P,>,>>. never <<,<,C,>,>> whenever replay is paused or not.

At the end of the game only a couple of squares of the board are shown.
This was with a pgn game collection with the %eval,%emt tags from a ccrl tournament
Display seems ok with a pgn from a tour played in xboard itself.

Xboard does not handle the eval tag,why not add it?
What about adding another window like evaluation graph, but for the move-time used?

Good catch. I guess this is still one of the things that needs to be implemented in GTK.

This is weird, I would not have expected crap in the PGN to affect display. It should just be parsed as 'comment' and ignored. I will investigate it.

I guess I could do that. IIRC there is some half-finished code by Alessandro Scotty that already makes a start at parsing this.

Well, I am not so keen on adding even more windows. Wouldn't it be better to display it as an extra line graph in the existing Eval Graph window?

Hi,adding a linegraph(or per player?) would do the trick,I think.
