Greetings Chesslovers,

--What is meaning in WinBoard of the EGTB probe depth in the engine settings of Houdini actually for? Have tried to find out or on it's site, with no result.

-PS: Is there much difference between SCID, and SCIDvsPC pls ?

You would have to look that up in the Houdini manual. WinBoard has nothing to do with engine settings; it just provides an easy interface for the user to communicate them with the engine. But it is purely the engine's business what settings they have, and what these do.
