Hi Ciro,
I've recompiled the engine for Mac OS X without much trouble, although I've not tested it yet.
It seems to be a bitboard program and some sources show an interesting mix of italian, english and french comments... will try a Windows porting later.

The original version is unsafe (buffer overrun factory).

Here is a fixed version for Windows {should compile fine on UNIX as well}:
