CEGT rating list and downloads updated

Postby Heinz van Kempen » 09 Jan 2006, 18:56

Hi all :) ,

the CEGT ratinglist 40/40 (2Ghz)and downloads are updated.

First games from the leagues are included. Here the first double round robins should be finished on Sunday I think.

Ratings for the Rybka 1.0 Beta 32-bit version differed by less than 5 points and were combined. The Rybka 1.0 Beta 64-bit version seems to be around 30 points stronger.

For other engine versions we have to wait for more games to decide if it makes sense to have different ratings for 32-bit and 64-bit. Maybe this is really only decisive for 64-bit versions.

With next rating list I would also like to combine Fruit 2.2 and 2.2.1 and also the Loop List versions with and without tablebases support, if the differences are still so small. Will ask the other testers about that.

Good ratings so far in the all versions list for Spike 1.1 beta, Crafty Cito
1.4.2 64-bit 2CPU 512MB, Zappa 1.1 64bit 2CPU 512 MB and Deep Sjeng 1.6 2CPU 512 MB.

The pure rating list will be given again with next update.

The CEGT Blitz rating list will be updated by Wilhelm Hudetz on Thursday.

Best Regards
Heinz

Hi Volker :) ,

thanks for your work on Spike, too. I think it is one of the most interesting and promising engines from the many we are currently having.

After testing a lot of Rybka settings we will now concentrate more again on amateur engines. So Spike, Glaurung and Movei will be included in next Blitz rating list on Thursday and we hope to have more games soon in the 40/40 list although a lot of hardware is currently used for the leagues, where those engines are of course also participating.

Best Regards
Heinz
