My winboard Package was updated today!

Feel free to request future engines included in the package. Also if anyone knows how to get Pro Deo added in a very simple way, and with small storage requirements, let me know.

Readme and Package Updated November 11, 2004

CREDITS:
First, I need to give credit to Tim Mann for creating winboard. His project is awesome for chess.
Special credit goes to Bob Hyatt, the programmer of the legendary Crafty chess engine.
Congratulations to Perola Valfridsson, for his excellent Ruffian chess engine!
I love Delfi, written by Fabio Cavicchio, because of its weakening options - check its readme.
Finally, I would like to thank all chess engine programmers for advancing chess!

INSTRUCTIONS:
Extract the package wherever it is convenient. It should work wherever you put it.
Just run Winboard.exe and select the engine you want to be white (top) and black (bottom).
Make a move if you want to start a game.
Otherwise, select Mode -> Two Machines to watch the computers battle it out.
You can also analyze your game by selecting Mode -> Analyze Mode.
To analyze a game you have played, you'll need to have the game in PGN format.
PGN files end with .pgn
To Load a PGN game, simply select File -> Load Game... and select your PGN file.

You can do many things with winboard if you want to take the time to learn more.
In the winboard directory there is a file called winboard.hlp.
Open it to read more about the features and functionality of winboard.

ENGINES INCLUDED:
Crafty 19.15 -- Most well known free engine includes multiprocessor support.
Ruffian 1.05 -- Strongest free winboard engine I have tested.
Delfi 4.5 -- Strong, yet it can be handicapped down to 1250 elo. Read Delfi.ini for more details.
Aristarch 4.50 -- Nearly equal with Ruffian 1.05.
AnMon 5.51 -- Recently updated engine. It may be the weakest engine in this pack, but it is no pushover.

WHICH ENGINES ARE NEW IN THIS PACKAGE?
Aristarch 4.50 and AnMon 5.51!

There is a lot of documentation included so if you have problems read the readme files.

I know how to add Pro Deo as an engine in winboard, but if I include everything, it takes up a lot of disk space and download time.

Is it possible to package Pro Deo with a book in less than 1 MB?

OK then provide a link to allow the person to be able to choose if they want ProDeo.
Seems if they are able to download your version of winboard then they are able to select the engines they want and download seperately just provide a current list of engine links that you feel would be of intrest, with the program.
