Spike 1.2 Turin

Postby Ralf Schäfer » 08 Jul 2006, 16:09

Hi all,

Spike 1.2 Turin is now public available.

New features are a plain position learning and multi-pv analysis.

And hopefully a slightly improvement compared to Spike 1.1

Some may have noticed that we have also a smp version of spike, but we intend to keep this private.

Have fun :-)

Best wishes
Volker and Ralf

Hi Ralf and Volker,

At this very moment Spike 1.1 is battling against Shredder 9.1 in my tournament and I can't replace 1.1 to 1.2 due to my own silly rules! :)

Is his really the unchanged Turin version? I have the feeling you did improve it during this 'delay' of a month.

Thank you for one of my pet engines.

Best wishes,
Gábor Szőts

Hi Gabor,

have a look at the timestamp of the executable - yes it should be exactly the version which played in Turin - except the fact that the release is using one cpu instead of four ;-)

best
