Matacz hangs under WinBoard?

Hi all,

Just tried to make Matacz CCT7 play under WinBoard but as soon as it gets out of book it stops playing. I can see a few lines of output in winboard.debug but then Windows reports a problem occurred. WinBoard exits but the engines stay in memory.

No problem (so far) under Arena, however.

Anyone with similar experience?

Hello Gabor,

I just tested Matacz CCT7 (38 mb hash version ) under Winboard (AMD XP/M + WinXP Pro) using 'Matacz.book' - No problems found.

matacz75mb hangs hete too.

Just a wild guess: can the reason be kibitzing? I don't know what that means and what it does but Matacz is the only engine that kibitzes on my machine and the others do not hang under WB while working all right under Arena.
